After completing an M.A. , in political economy , Ed Peters became a photographer . In 1990 , he relocated to Asia , where he photographed the plight of Burmese refugees and the pro-democracy movement in Nepal. He later joined the photo agency , Impact Visuals. For the next several years he photographed various subjects. These include : famine in Somalia, war in Croatia, and the continuing AIDs crisis. He now focuses on his personal work , with an emphasis on street photography.
