Lukas Vasilikos was born in 1975 in Heraklion, Crete. In 1996 he moved to Athens where he still lives and works today.
His interest in photography began in 2006 when he attended a photography seminar run by Manos Lykakis. Since then he has focused on his real passion: street photography.
Lukas has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and Turkey. In 2009 he participated in the group exhibition ‘New Greek Photographers’ at the Athens Photo Festival and in 2010 he returned with a solo exhibition. In 2011 he undertook another solo exhibition at the ‘Kithira Photography Meeting’. His photos have also been presented in four photography publications.
Since 2008 he has been a member of Platon Rivelli’s ‘Photo Circle’ and he has also studied the philosophy of photography under Achileas Nassios.
