Rui Palha

Rui Palha was born in April 1953. He lives in Lisbon and has been an amateur photographer since the age of 14, with the occasional interruption prior to 2001. Since then almost all of his time has been devoted to street photography and social projects in troubled neighbourhoods of Lisbon. He has exhibited nationally and internationally both solo and as a contributor to group shows.
His last book ‘Street Photography’ was named ‘Best Photography Work’ at the 2011 Authors’ SPA (Society of Portuguese Authors Awards).
