Our member Dimitri Mellos will be teaching an intensive and intimate street photography shooting workshop in New York City this coming June. Participants will receive guidance and inspiration in producing individual projects, with daily group review and editing sessions. The workshop will last for a full six days, and Dimitri will not only provide individualized guidance to each participant during the editing and critique sessions, but will also spend time on the street with every single participant, shooting together and helping students hone their skills and technique as street photographers. The focus will be on developing each student’s personal vision in an atmosphere that will be both challenging and supportive. The workshop will take place between June 3-8 of 2013, and the tuition is just $600 for the six days. In order to keep the workshop intimate and to make sure that each student receives adequate individualized attention, a maximum of just 8 students will be accepted.

Tuition costs do not include travel, accommodations, or meals, but assistance will be provided to those students who need to secure accommodation in the city. Tuition does include free drinks and snacks during editing and review sessions, which will take place in an intimate atmosphere in Dimitri’s midtown apartment.

This is a unique opportunity to photograph the streets of New York in the company and under the guidance of one of the most renowned and awarded contemporary New York street photographers.

Participants will be contacted by Dimitri Mellos personally with additional information and details but if you have any questions before registering, please contact Dimitri at [email protected]
